BUXAR--------------------------Dr. D.N. Singh—Director of the Shiv Rama Children's Hospital, located at Charitravan Jail Mor in the city, and a renowned pediatrician—has appealed for special care to be taken of newborn babies in light of the severe heat conditions. He stated that during the summer season, it becomes absolutely crucial to protect children from infections and illnesses.

Dr. D.N. Singh noted that the mosquito population surges during this period, posing a persistent risk of diseases such as dengue and diarrhea. Consequently, parents should take measures to protect their children from mosquitoes and maintain cleanliness in and around their homes. He advised keeping infants in cool and well-ventilated spaces at all times to shield them from the adverse effects of heatstroke and excessive heat.

He further recommended dressing children in light, cotton clothing, ensuring regular breastfeeding, and preventing dehydration. If a child exhibits symptoms such as fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, parents should consult a doctor immediately. Dr. D.N. Singh appealed to parents, emphasizing that by exercising a little caution, newborn babies can be effectively safeguarded against the harmful effects of the summer heat.
