TRIBUTES TO RASHTRAKAVI RAMDHARI SINGH DINKAR

ARA-------------------------The 118^TH birth anniversary of National Poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was observed within the premises of the Hanuman Temple on Mahadeva Road, Ara. The event was presided over by Dr. (Prof.) Dinesh Kumar Singh, with renowned physician, former ACMO, and District President (Medical Wing) of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Dr. K.N. Sinha, serving as the chief guest. Attendees began by garlanding Lord Shri Ram and Lord Mahavir and performing rituals with lamps and incense; they then paid floral tributes to the portrait/statue of National Poet Dinkar and formally inaugurated the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp. Chief Guest Dr. K.N. Sinha remarked that Dinkar was primarily a poet of *Veer Ras* (heroic sentiment), and his poetry provided strength and encouragement to many during the struggle for independence, playing a pivotal role in fostering national consciousness at the time. Dinkar's poem "Rashmirathi" is a celebrated heroic epic. Presiding over the function, Prof. Dinesh noted that, alongside religious worship, the temple hosts various social programs and organizes health camps under the leadership of Dr. K.N. Sinha. The gathering was addressed by several literary figures and intellectuals, including Prof. Kiran Kumari, Ajay Singh, and Prof. Rajiv Kumar. The vote of thanks was proposed by the renowned social worker and organ donation advocate, Mr. Chaurasia.
