HYDERABAD NOV 28 (RNI) Lieutenant General Vinod G. Khandare, PVSM, AVSM, SM(retd) stated that India is surrounded by countries that are not at all friendly, and that it is extremely important to understand them and constantly monitor their activities. The former senior official, who served as a principle advisor to the Ministry of Defence, Government of India during Operation Sindoor, visited the city on Thursday and inspected the newly developed anti-drone vehicle Indrajaal designed by Sigma Advanced Systems, and expressed his appreciation.
Addressing the gathering, he said:
“I congratulate all of you for being technologically advanced. Continue your hard work and good efforts. Affordable smart solutions like these will help us stay ahead of our adversaries. In earlier times, we used to rely on instinct to understand our strengths and weaknesses, and we would also listen closely to the enemy’s movements. From that, we would understand who our enemy was and how strong they were. Even today, we are surrounded by nations that are not friendly. We must understand them and stay alert about what they are doing.”
“We are all striving for a strong, advanced modern military. Startups and organizations like Sigma are the real soldiers of the nation. Whether it is the Line of Control (LoC), the Line of Actual Control (LAC), international borders, or even deep within the country, they are strengthening us everywhere. Anti-drone vehicles like Indrajaal are extremely essential for us. Indrajaal Ranger is highly inspiring. Today, wars are no longer limited to conventional warfare; they involve both kinetic and non-kinetic operations. Sleeper cells are infiltrating the country, destroying national assets and taking innocent lives. In such times, counter-drone solutions are absolutely vital. This is exactly what we are seeking. These technologies not only protect us but also help us stay ahead of our enemies.”
He further emphasized,
“Our human capital must be smart and forward-looking. We must be able to suggest solutions aligned with what the nation’s leadership is envisioning. Only then can we achieve success in future conflicts.”
Explaining the meaning of his patriotic salutation, he said,
“When I say ‘Jai Hind’, it means I wish victory for our country. That victory may be in Olympics, in the economic field, in science and technology, or in warfare. Many people think that an army exists only to fight wars. But you must remember that a strong army actually prevents wars. Strength does not lie merely in numbers, but in capability. The army goes to war only when the people of the country desire it.”
He concluded by stating,
“We must always remember that the nation comes first. We must set aside our internal differences and move forward together for the country. Only then can we easily achieve our goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. In fact, we can reach that goal even ten years earlier. As the Wing Commander rightly said, every citizen is a soldier.
Others present at the event included Sigma Advanced Systems Partner and Director Mankena Srinivasa Reddy, Managing Director C. Dhamodhar Reddy, Directors Sunil Kumar, Mallela Sai, and Sanjay Kumar, Indrajaal COO Parameshwar Reddy, Delhi Vasanth, and other dignitaries.
