ARA---------------------------On the occasion of Independence Day, residential land certificates were distributed to 60 landless families in Bihiya on Saturday under the 'Abhiyan Basera-2' (Shelter Campaign-2). The distribution took place during a ceremony held at the Block-cum-Circle office auditorium. These families will now obtain ownership rights over the allotted land in accordance with the rules.
These landless families had initially been selected by revenue staff at the panchayat level. Subsequently, the certificates for government land were issued to the beneficiaries only after verifying the prescribed criteria and eligibility. During the event, the certificates were handed over to the selected beneficiaries one by one.
Circle Officer (CO) Nilesh Kumar stated that residential land certificates have been distributed among the 60 previously selected landless families. He clarified that the prescribed procedures and eligibility criteria were strictly adhered to during the selection of the beneficiaries. Block Development Officer (BDO) Archana Verma stated that the receipt of land allotment certificates (patta) for homestead land by landless families on Independence Day marks a significant achievement for them. She noted that the administration is continuously striving to ensure the benefits of government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries.
