CDO’s Surprise Inspection Exposes Lapses at Badaun District Women’s Hospital; ACs, Fans Found Non-Functional
RNI BADAUN (Uttar Pradesh), Aug. 4: Chief Development Officer (CDO) Gamini Singla conducted a surprise inspection of the District Women’s Hospital in Badaun on Tuesday and reviewed healthcare services and patient amenities. During the inspection, she found several deficiencies and directed the hospital administration to rectify them without delay.
The inspection revealed that the hospital's RO drinking water system was non-functional and the surrounding area lacked proper cleanliness. The CDO instructed officials to ensure that all toilets remain operational and are cleaned regularly. She also directed the authorities to immediately restore non-functional ceiling fans in the waiting hall, labour room, and outside the SNCU waiting area on the second and third floors.
Both air-conditioning units installed in the labour room were found to be out of order. In addition, the waiting area of the Post-Natal Care (PNC) ward lacked sufficient fans for the convenience of patients and their attendants. Taking serious note of these shortcomings, the CDO instructed Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Shobha Agrawal to address all deficiencies on priority and submit a compliance report at the earliest.
Singla also directed the hospital administration to ensure punctual attendance of all doctors and staff members. She further emphasized daily monitoring to improve the progress of the female sterilization programme in the district.
Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Shobha Agrawal and other hospital officials were present during the inspection.
