BUXAR-------------------------A mobile thief was arrested as part of 'Operation Yatri Suraksha'—a campaign launched by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to ensure the safety of passengers. This operation was carried out under the direction of Inspector-in-Charge Kundan Singh.

According to reports, a team comprising Sub-Inspector Vijendra Muwal, Constable Deepak Kumar, Constable Rahul Yadav, and Constable Karan Singh was keeping a watch on suspicious individuals within the station premises. During this surveillance, in the afternoon, an individual was observed engaging in suspicious activity.

The team apprehended the individual and subjected him to questioning, during which he identified himself as Pardesi Mali, son of Amar Singh Mali, a resident of the Chausa Mufassil police station area in the Buxar district.

During a search, a smartphone was recovered from his possession. Upon rigorous interrogation, he confessed that he had stolen the said mobile phone from a female passenger at Buxar Station.

Subsequently, the Railway Protection Force arrested the accused and handed him over to the GRP (Government Railway Police), Buxar, for further legal action. This operation by the RPF has sent a strong message regarding the further strengthening of security arrangements for passengers at the station.
