SASARAM------------------------Residents are growing increasingly angry about power outages during Muharram. Residents say the power outage schedule issued by the Central Moharram Committee has no visible impact, causing significant inconvenience to the public.

According to local residents, the elderly, children, and patients are most affected by prolonged power outages amid the scorching heat. In many areas, the lack of electricity also creates drinking water problems, further exacerbating the public's difficulties.

The public says the administration should ensure the necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a peaceful and orderly Muharram festival. They allege that there is often a lack of decision-making and effective implementation, resulting in significant hardship for the general public.

Residents have appealed to the Sasaram Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDO) to pay special attention to this matter. He says that even during religious events, basic amenities like electricity and water should be prioritized so that the general public does not face unnecessary difficulties.
