SASARAM--------------------------A driver died tragically in a severe head-on collision between two tractors on Friday morning near the Mahavir Temple in Balchand Tola, under the jurisdiction of the Rajpur police station. The accident was so horrific that the driver fell off his tractor, was run over by the vehicle, and died on the spot. Chaos ensued in the area following the incident, and a large number of villagers gathered at the scene.

According to reports, a sand-laden tractor was approaching from the direction of Nasriganj, while a soil-laden tractor was heading from the direction of Amadi in Rajpur. Both vehicles were speeding. During the violent head-on collision near Balchand Tola, the driver of the sand-laden tractor fell off and was crushed by the vehicle, dying instantly. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Paduri village under the Nasriganj police station area. Upon receiving the information, the Rajpur police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, completed the necessary legal formalities, and sent it to Sadar Hospital, Sasaram, for a post-mortem examination. The police have also seized both tractors involved in the accident.

Rajpur Station House Officer (SHO) Anshu Mala stated that the driver of the soil-laden tractor fled the scene after the accident. The police are conducting continuous raids to apprehend him. Prima facie, speeding appears to be the cause of the accident. The entire matter is being investigated thoroughly, and further legal action will be taken based on the investigation report.

The family of the deceased is devastated by this tragic accident. Meanwhile, local residents have demanded that the administration strictly control the speeding of heavy vehicles and conduct regular checks to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
