PATNA------------------------Political activity has intensified significantly in the state following the formation of the new government under the leadership of Samrat Chaudhary. In this context, a special session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly has been convened for April 24 to ensure the stability and majority of the new government. This special session is considered extremely crucial from the perspective of the state's future political trajectory and the robustness of the new administration.
According to an official notification issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the special session is scheduled to be held on April 24 at 11:00 AM at the Bihar Legislative Assembly building in Patna. The letter, issued under the signature of Rajiv Kumar, Director of the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, conveys notice to the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister, all members of the Council of Ministers, and all Honorable Members of the Legislative Assembly to participate in this significant proceeding.
The primary agenda of this special session is for Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary to move a motion of confidence in the House. The recent change of power in the state, coupled with unexpected shifts in political equations, has steered Bihar's politics in a new direction. Consequently, this vote of confidence is not merely a constitutional formality but serves as a major test to demonstrate the government's stability and its political foundation.
The letter issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat directs all legislators to be mandatorily present in the House at the scheduled time. The letter explicitly states that the proceedings of the session will commence precisely at the appointed time, making the presence of the members absolutely essential.
