PATNA-------------------------Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary today reviewed the Information and Public Relations Department, the Civil Aviation Department, and the Urban Development and Housing Department at 'Samvad'—located within the Chief Minister's Secretariat—and issued necessary directives.
During the review, the Chief Minister directed that cultural heritage sites at the district level be identified, and that mechanisms to disseminate information about them to tourists in a simple and accessible manner be strengthened. He emphasized that effective branding of the developmental works undertaken in Bihar must be ensured at the national level.
Emphasizing the utility of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Chief Minister stated that it should be utilized effectively for real-time monitoring, and that efforts should be directed toward exploring possibilities for its enhanced application in government operations.
He directed that government lands be identified and utilized for revenue generation—through avenues such as advertising—to ensure the optimal utilization of resources.
The Chief Minister noted that concrete initiatives are being undertaken toward the development of 'Aerocities' within the state. Under this initiative, plans are in place to develop commercial, hospitality, logistics, and tourism-based infrastructure in the vicinity of major airports. Additionally, special attention is being accorded to the development of smaller and regional airports.
He directed the formulation of a comprehensive plan for the development of airports across all districts, urging that special emphasis be placed on safety and quality standards. Under the 'UDAN' scheme, the pace of work regarding airport upgradation, runway expansion, terminal construction, and operational activities is being accelerated.
The Chief Minister stated that the completion of these projects would provide improved air connectivity to the remote regions of the state and accelerate balanced regional development. The development of airports, Aerocity projects, and the commencement of international flight operations are set to provide a new direction to the state's economic and tourism potential.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to formulate long-term plans for urban development. He issued directives to digitize urban maps—prepared for the purposes of sanitation, traffic management, and urban expansion—and to make them easily accessible to the general public.
