ARBITRARY CONDUCT IN PATNA CITY CIRCLE

27-JUNE-ENG 1

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

PATNA-------------------------Applicants are deeply dissatisfied with the delays in the disposal of revenue-related matters at the Patna City Circle office. They allege that numerous files have remained pending with Circle Officer (CO) Chandan Kumar for a long time, even after the relevant staff and revenue officers have submitted their reports.

According to reports, the processes of inquiry and reporting have been completed for many applications. However, due to the failure to issue final orders, applicants are forced to make repeated visits to the office. This is also hindering the resolution of land-related cases.

Aggrieved applicants stated that the general public is unable to receive timely services due to the arbitrary functioning of Circle Officer Chandan Kumar. People have been running from pillar to post for months for essential tasks such as mutation (*dakhil-kharij*), record rectification (*parimarjan*), and the issuance of Land Possession Certificates (LPC).

The applicants have urged the district administration to review the situation and ensure the speedy disposal of pending applications. They maintain that revenue services should be provided in a time-bound manner to bring relief to the general public.
