SASARAM----------------------------Police in the Akodhigola police station area took preventive action against four individuals in separate incidents and arrested eight others—who were confirmed to have consumed alcohol—before sending them to court.
Station House Officer (SHO) Rakesh Gosain stated that preventive action was taken against Digvijay Kumar (25), Ravi Kumar Soni (23), Chandan Kumar (22), and Ayodhya Kumar alias Bhuar (20) under Sections 126/170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). They were produced before the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Dehri, due to concerns regarding an unlawful night-time gathering in Bank village that threatened to disrupt law and order. He stated that in a second operation, an FIR was registered under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act against several individuals—Sanjay Kumar (son of Tulsi Singh), Ravi Ranjan Singh (son of Ajay Kumar Singh), Ritesh Kumar (son of Umesh Singh), Kundan Kumar (son of Sitaram Sharma), Vishal Kumar (son of Harivansh Singh), Vicky Kumar (son of the late Ramesh Singh), and Sanjay Kumar (son of Shravan Rajak), all residents of Bank village (Akorhigola Police Station, Rohtas district), as well as Raja Bhaiya (son of Gangaram Kushwaha), a resident of Fafundi village (Baberu Police Station, Banda district, Uttar Pradesh)—after they were confirmed to have consumed alcohol in Bank village. All the accused were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
