ARA---------------------------Extremely tragic and distressing news emerged on Thursday morning from Mugaul village in the Uttarwari Jungle Mahal Panchayat, under the Jagdishpur police station area of Bhojpur district. Here, a 40-year-old woman farmer, Basanti Devi, and a 22-year-old man, Sahul Kumar, died tragically after coming into contact with dilapidated electric wires. Expressing deep sorrow over this tragic incident, former Jagdishpur MLA Bhai Dinesh offered his condolences to the bereaved families.
Treating the matter with seriousness, he has demanded immediate relief from the state government and the district administration. Bhai Dinesh has strongly demanded the immediate provision of an ex-gratia payment of ₹4 lakh each to the dependents of both deceased farmers, in accordance with Disaster Management Department regulations. In this regard, he has urged the District Magistrate of Bhojpur and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Jagdishpur to take prompt action and ensure justice for the affected families.
Alongside the demand for compensation, Bhai Dinesh has also taken a firm stand regarding the gross negligence of the Electricity Department in disregarding safety standards. He has explicitly demanded an impartial, high-level inquiry into the entire incident so that the guilty can be identified and subjected to the strictest possible action.
