Meeting with the wife; assurance of justice. During the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary assured the bereaved family that they would receive justice at all costs. He assured the family that justice would be served regardless of the circumstances and instructed the district administration to conduct a speedy trial. The strictest legal action will be taken against the guilty.
Babita Kumari presented several important demands during the meeting. She called for a high-level, impartial investigation into the murder and appealed for a speedy trial for the accused. Additionally, she requested financial assistance of ₹2 crore for the family's livelihood, a government job at the rank of a gazetted officer, and assurances regarding the family's safety. This entire matter pertains to Bihar's Aurangabad district, where Vimal Kumar, a senior municipal officer, was allegedly beaten to death with an iron rod by his own car driver while traveling from Dehri to Patna. According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday evening near the Dhanauti Bridge in the Barun police station area, and details were made public on Sunday. The driver accused in this murder case has been arrested.
According to the police, the driver initially fabricated a story claiming that unidentified motorcyclists had attacked the officer. Vikas Vaibhav, the Inspector General (IG) of the Magadh Range, told the media on Sunday that the Executive Officer was traveling to Patna by car when the driver informed the police that unknown criminals had beaten the officer. The officer died while being taken to the hospital.
The IG further stated that the driver kept changing his statement during interrogation, which aroused suspicion. Under rigorous questioning, he finally confessed that he was the one who had killed the officer by attacking him with an iron rod.
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the RJD's National Working President and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, had raised questions regarding the police's role in this murder case. He alleged that the impartiality of the investigation was under a cloud of suspicion and that attempts were being made to shield influential culprits.

He alleged that the impartiality of the investigation was under a cloud of suspicion and that attempts were being made to shield influential culprits.
Tejashwi Yadav also stated that despite complaints from the family, no FIR had yet been registered against Sonu Singh, an MLA from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)—an ally of the NDA.
He alleged that the IG of the concerned region hastily declared the driver guilty, whereas the brutal manner in which the murder was
committed makes it clear that it could not have been the work of a single individual. Tejashwi also noted that
another Executive Officer had previously been murdered in the state, and this second incident demonstrates that the administrative system has completely
collapsed. According to him, this incident has created an atmosphere of fear among government officials in the state.
