PATNA---------------------------Major changes are underway at the NTA to enhance security and transparency in examinations; approximately 600 experts have been removed, and a four-tier question paper verification system will be implemented.
During a follow-up meeting regarding the NTA, Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi directed officials to ensure all necessary security measures and infrastructure for the smooth and secure conduct of examinations. Following the Minister's directives, the NTA Director General briefed the meeting on the actions taken so far.
Significant changes have been made to the NTA's examination team. Around 600 experts have been removed from the team, and new experts have been inducted. To further strengthen the scrutiny and review of question papers, a four-tier verification system will now be implemented. The objective is to ensure more rigorous and effective scrutiny of examination question papers.
Over the next two to three weeks, 20 to 25 new officials will be inducted into the NTA. Plans for future appointments were also reviewed during the meeting. Preparations are underway to relocate NTA offices to a new campus on a war footing. Security arrangements at the new campus will be further bolstered by deploying CISF teams. In essence, the government's focus is now on ensuring security, transparency, and a robust system for NTA examinations.
