PATNA---------------------------As the investigation into the usurpation of Naubatpur Math's land—involving forged documents by land mafias and the illicit activities of revenue staff, as well as then-COs (Circle Officers) Vijendra Kumar and Mrityunjay Kumar—progresses, shocking details are coming to light, and the faces behind the scenes are being exposed.

Originally, the Math's land was recorded under *Jamabandi* (land record) number 85, covering an area of ​​15 acres and 48 decimals. Then-CO Vijendra Kumar opened a new *Jamabandi* (number 35/1) online and manipulated the records to assign 3 acres and 2 decimals of the Math's land to it—even though *Jamabandi* 35/1 was originally meant for only 2 decimals. Following the creation of this fraudulent *Jamabandi* (35/1), land from the Math's *Khata* (plot ledger) 109 has been sold to 13 individuals. The then-COs, Vijendra Kumar and Mrityunjay Kumar, also processed the *Jamabandi* entries for 12 of these buyers. While revenue staff are certainly involved, the role of Ashwini Kumar—a middleman colluding with the two officers—is also highly suspicious. Furthermore, during the tenures of both COs, large-scale irregularities were committed by reclassifying *Kaiser-e-Hind* (government-owned) and *Malik Gair-Mazarua* (land held by the landlord but not under direct cultivation) lands as *Raiyati* (privately owned) land.

Rohit Kumar & Company has facilitated the registration of land for many people under false pretenses. Rohit Kumar & Company acted as the intermediary for the Math's land deals and continues to claim that no action will be taken against them. When the full extent of the fraud regarding the sale, purchase, and mutation (*Dakhil-Kharij*) of *Kaiser-e-Hind* and *Malik Gair-Mazarua* lands is revealed, it will leave everyone—from the government to the general public—stunned in disbelief. The earlier *Jamabandi* (record of land rights) for entry 35/1 was registered in the name of Jagjivan Mahto, covering an area of ​​merely 02 decimals under Khata number 238. The then Circle Officer (CO), Vijendra Kumar, arbitrarily—and without any valid basis—transferred *Jamabandi* number 35/1 to the names of Ram Kishore Sharma and Akshaywat Sharma under Khata number 109.

Subsequently, the land has been sold to 13 individuals. Of these, the mutation of land records for 12 individuals was approved by the then Revenue Employee and COs Vijendra Kumar and Mrityunjay Kumar, following an improper procedure. The list of land purchasers includes: Diwakar Kumar Singh (Director) – Deed No. 1260, dated 01/02/24; Randhir Kumar – Deed No. 1262, dated 01/02/24; GRADA Homes Private Limited (Director Diwakar Kumar Singh) – Deed No. 1264, dated 01/02/24; GRADA Homes Private Limited (Director Diwakar Kumar Singh) – Deed No. 1267, dated 01/02/24; Directors Arun Kumar, Diwakar Kumar Singh, and Rakesh Ranjan – Deed No. 1271, dated 01/02/24; Rashmi Ranjan – Deed No. 2273, dated 19/02/24; Manju Bharti – Deed No. 2274, dated 19/02/24; Veermati Devi – Deed No. 2275, dated 19/02/24; Anju Kumari, Lovely Kumari, and Veermati Devi – Deed No. 9755, dated 16/07/24; Uma Kumari – Deed No. 15406, dated 24/09/24; Jaya Kumari – Deed No. 15535, dated 26/09/24; Ram Pratap Nirala – Deed No. 15536, dated 26/09/24; and Nalni Prasad – Deed No. 15410, dated 24/09/24. Based on letters sent by the Police Headquarters' Economic Offences Unit (EOU) to the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Secretary (Revenue Department), Commissioner (Patna), and District Magistrate (Patna), an investigation is underway regarding the roles of several individuals involved in attempting to usurp *Math* (monastery) land through fraudulent deeds and fabricated land records (*Jamabandi*). The individuals under investigation include Tuntun Gop, Praveen (alias Baua Ji), Kundan Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Amit Kumar, Ashwini Kumar, Anandi Paswan, Ashutosh Kumar, Neeraj Kumar, Atul Kumar, Ravindra Mahto, Ram Kishore Sharma, Akshavat Sharma, Gautam Kumar (of GRADA Pvt. Ltd.), and Ashwini Kumar (Maner). A committee constituted by the District Magistrate of Patna will soon submit its investigation report to the government. The EOU will review the report and subsequently identify those involved in the fraud and forgery to initiate legal action through the registration of an FIR.
