BUXAR---------------------------A strong, foul odor emanating from a house in Dhansoi Bazaar on Thursday caused a stir in the area. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived and had the door of the house forced open; inside, in a corridor near the ceiling, the body of a young man was found. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Seth, son of Shriram Seth, a resident of Khochariha village. He lived opposite the Durga Temple in Dhansoi Bazaar and ran a jewelry shop named 'Shriram Jewellers.'

It is reported that the door of the house had not been opened for the past three days. On Thursday, after noticing a foul smell, villagers informed the deceased's father and the police. When the house was opened, Santosh Seth was found lying face down. There were also reports of blood coming from his mouth. Further fueling concerns, there was talk of a blood-like substance flowing into a drain near the house.

Santosh Seth’s wife passed away due to an illness about a year ago. Their six-year-old daughter lives with her maternal grandparents in Anwas village.

Dhansoi Station House Officer (SHO) Vikas Kumar stated that the body has been sent to Buxar for a post-mortem examination. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called to investigate the scene. According to villagers, the deceased struggled with substance abuse. However, the actual cause of death will only be determined following the post-mortem report and the police investigation. The police are examining the case from all possible angles.
