Irrigation Drawing Staff Flag Pending Promotions, Pay Anomalies

Budaun(RNI) A meeting of the Irrigation Department Drawing Staff Association, district unit Budaun, was held on February 6 at the Tubewell Division-I office under the chairmanship of District President Anil Kumar Mishra. Office-bearers discussed long-pending issues of computer operators and draftsmen and expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in resolution.

The association reiterated its seven-point charter of demands, including promotion from Computer Operator to Assistant Engineer (Civil) after necessary amendments in service rules, restructuring of drawing cadre posts, ACP benefits on par with Junior Engineers ignoring ₹4600 grade pay, a separate quota for direct promotion to Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical), removal of pay anomalies since January 1, 1986, and regular departmental training.

It was decided that a memorandum will be submitted to the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary through the District Magistrate on February 11 as part of the statewide programme.
