ARA--------------------------A major lapse has come to light at the city police station in Bhojpur district, where a prisoner defied security measures and escaped from police custody. It is reported that the city police arrested the prisoner with a banned drug (heroin). After his arrest, he was placed in the police station's lockup, but he escaped as soon as he got the chance. This incident has exposed the police station's claims of tight security.

According to reports, the prisoner pretended to need to relieve himself to deceive the police. As soon as the sentry on duty at the lockup let him out, he evaded the police and disappeared in the blink of an eye. The prisoner's disappearance caused panic throughout the police station premises. Police officers struggled to apprehend him, but he managed to escape.

This serious incident has been confirmed by the Bhojpur Superintendent of Police (SP). The police captain, considering it a major lapse, has ordered an investigation. The city police station has been in a state of panic since the prisoner's escape. Special police teams are raiding possible hideouts, but no trace of the escaped prisoner has been found yet.

This incident directly raises serious questions about the functioning and vigilance of the city police station. The most pressing question is how a criminal escaped so easily from a place where police are constantly present and guards are posted to monitor the lockup? Was it simply negligence or is there a possibility of collusion? The police are now investigating these points as well.

Currently, the local police administration is facing considerable criticism following this incident. Senior district officials say that police officers and personnel who were negligent in their duties are being identified and strict disciplinary action will be taken against them. Now it remains to be seen how long it will take for the police to send the absconding criminal back behind bars and whether the negligent policemen will be punished or not.
