ARA---------------------------A grand Dandiya and cultural festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Notre Dame High School, Singhi More, Ara. Around 800 students took part in Dandiya dances and various cultural performances, making the event lively and memorable.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. K. N. Sinha, Former Additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO), Bhojpur, by cutting the ribbon and lighting the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Md. Saif, Secretary of the Bhojpur District Chess Association, was also present as a distinguished guest.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. K. N. Sinha said that traditional cultural celebrations like Dandiya instil enthusiasm, creativity and a spirit of collective participation among children. Such events play an important role in preserving Indian culture and traditions and passing them on to the younger generation.

The school’s Chairman Ran Vijay Bahadur Singh, Director Ajit Kumar Singh, Administrative Head Sujit Kumar Singh and Principal Anita Kumari welcomed the guests, parents and students. They appreciated the students’ talents and highlighted the importance of cultural activities in the all-round development of children alongside academic education.

Solo Dandiya performances by students were among the major attractions. The ‘Mother Dandiya Dance Competition’ was another highlight, in which mothers participated enthusiastically and captivated the audience with their graceful performances, receiving warm applause. Colourful costumes, traditional music and the rhythmic beats of Dandiya created a festive atmosphere throughout the school campus.

The teachers and organising team played an important role in the successful conduct of the programme. Nancy Singh, Aamir Khan, Nidhi, Muskan, Deepak, Satyam, Dhanji, Nisha, Nikita, Rajnesh, David, Smriti and other team members made valuable contributions.

At the conclusion of the festival, winners of various competitions were awarded prizes and felicitated. The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks. The event conveyed a message of enthusiasm, cooperation and cultural unity among students, parents and teachers.
