ARA-----------------------------The government entrusts NGOs and agencies with a large number of responsibilities for cleaning, food, security guards, book distribution, and various other services in Nagar Panchayats, Municipal Councils, Municipalities, schools, hospitals, and other government institutions. However, this system is questionable at the ground level in many places.

I believe that in most cases, the work is done by local people, while they do not receive the full benefit of the funds released by the government. Intermediary agencies and NGOs keep a large portion for themselves, which increases the unnecessary burden on the government treasury and also affects the quality of service.

The government should conduct a comprehensive review of this system and, where possible, direct work through the relevant institutions, local bodies, and departments. This will increase transparency, curb corruption, ensure fair wages for local people, and ensure the proper use of government funds.

Every rupee of public money should be spent in the public interest. This is the hallmark of good governance and accountability.
