Major Crackdown on Overloaded Vehicles in Badaun, 10 Heavy Vehicles Seized

RNI : Badaun Acting on the directions of the state government and the District Magistrate, the Transport Department launched a major enforcement drive against overloaded and mining-related vehicles across Badaun district.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement) Hariom led the campaign, during which 10 heavy vehicles involved in mining activities were seized from different locations, including Kunwargaon, Kadarchowk and the ARTO office premises. A tractor carrying sand beyond the permitted limit was also impounded.

In total, action was taken against 18 vehicles and nearly Rs 5 lakh was deposited into the government account as penalty fees.

Officials said the anti-overloading अभियान will continue in the coming days. The department has urged vehicle operators to follow prescribed load limits and comply with traffic regulations to ensure road safety.
