MAN MURDERED AT IN-LAW’S HOUSE WHILE ARRANGING WIFE’S DEPARTURE

BHABHUA----------------------------In the Kudhani police station area of ​​Kaimur, a young man named Vishnu Kant Mishra was shot dead in broad daylight while visiting his in-laws' home to arrange for his wife's return; the accused remains at large.

On Sunday, in Mahila village within the Kudhani police station jurisdiction of Bihar's Kaimur district, a young man was shot dead in broad daylight. The deceased has been identified as Vishnu Kant Mishra. According to reports regarding the incident, Vishnu Kant Mishra's father-in-law had passed away recently.

On Sunday, Vishnu had gone to the village to see his wife off and help her board an auto-rickshaw for her return journey to her maternal home. Just as he was seating his wife in the auto and preparing to bid her farewell, the accused—identified as Amit Kumar Dubey, a resident of the same village—came running toward the scene. Before anyone could comprehend what was happening, the accused opened fire indiscriminately.

According to eyewitnesses, the assailant fired approximately four to five rounds. Vishnu Kant Mishra sustained three gunshot wounds: one to the cheek, a second to the chest, and a third to the back. Upon being struck by the bullets, Vishnu collapsed to the ground and died on the spot due to excessive blood loss.

After committing the crime, the accused, Amit Dubey, fled the scene. The deceased's brother, Vishnu Dev Mishra, and a relative, Brajesh Kumar Mishra, stated that the accused belongs to the same village, though the motive behind the murder remains unknown at this time.

Upon receiving information and arriving at the scene, Mohania DSP Pradeep Kumar stated that the body has been sent to the Sadar Hospital in Bhabhua for a post-mortem examination. The DSP confirmed that the murder was committed by Amit Kumar Dubey and that the police are conducting continuous raids to effect his arrest. He added that the accused would soon be put behind bars.
