TEACHERS PROTESTED UNIVERSITY ACT 2026

BUXAR-------------------------Following the directives of the 'Bihar State University and College Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff Struggle Front' (Sangharsh Morcha), a protest was held at Maharshi Vishwamitra College on Wednesday against the Bihar Government's proposed University Act 2026, as part of a phased agitation. During the event, teachers and non-teaching staff raised slogans against the government within the college premises.

All teachers were present during the protest under the leadership of Dr. Yogarshi Rajput, Secretary of the College Teachers' Association. Meanwhile, all college employees, including Shanti Kumari Devi, Secretary of the Non-Teaching Staff Association, also joined the agitation.

Expressing their objections regarding the proposed University Act 2026, the teachers and staff demanded that the government reconsider the proposal. The protesters stated that any new legislation should be implemented only after taking into consideration the interests of university and college staff.

It was announced that further programs would be organized as part of this phased agitation, conducted under the association's directives. College teachers and non-teaching staff participated actively in the protest.
