State Employees Council Seeks Early Restoration of Old Pension Scheme

RNI Budaun: The State Employees Joint Council held a meeting at the Flood Control Division office here on Tuesday, where members discussed salary anomalies affecting various employee cadres and demanded the early restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

The meeting was chaired by district president Ravi Kumar. Addressing the gathering, district minister Saroj Yadav stressed the importance of unity among government employees and said that collective efforts were essential to raise employees’ concerns effectively.

The members urged the government to take an early decision on restoring the Old Pension Scheme, which remains a key demand of government employees. Various issues concerning pay disparities among different employee categories were also discussed during the meeting.

The meeting was conducted by Anil Kumar Mishra, district president of the Drawing Staff Association, Budaun. Satendra Pal Singh Shakya, patron of the Irrigation Association, former district minister Ram Prakash Singh Rathore and incumbent association president Saurabh Sharma also addressed the gathering and shared their views on employee-related issues.

Employees from the Flood Control Division and Tubewell Division, Budaun, participated in the meeting. Those present included administrative officer Mukesh Kumar Saxena, senior assistants Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Rajesh Kumar, Syed Jafar Ali and Umesh Chandra, along with junior assistants Narendra Singh, Sudhanshu Mishra, Rajiv Kumar, Kamlesh Kumar, Annu Sagar and Meera.

Prashant Dixit, principal assistant at the Budaun Irrigation Project Construction Division, and other employees were also present.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
