Teachers’ Body Seeks Headmaster Pay for In-Charge Headmasters
RNI Budaun: The Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers’ Association submitted a memorandum to the District Basic Education Officer, seeking payment of the Headmaster pay scale and arrears to in-charge headmasters.
District president Sanjeev Kumar Sharma and district secretary Udayveer Singh said the Supreme Court has directed that teachers who have completed five years of service as in-charge headmasters be paid arrears for up to three years from the date of the writ petition.
They also cited the revised government order issued by the Basic Education Section-5 on July 16, 2026, directing payment of Headmaster-level salary to eligible in-charge headmasters within four months until regular appointments are made.
The association urged the BSA to ensure immediate compliance with the order and release the pending salary difference. District treasurer Sushil Chaudhary and other office-bearers were present.
