BUXAR----------------------------Responding to a call by the Bihar state RJD, party workers staged a protest at Brahmpur Chaurasta against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Led by RJD leader Santosh Yadav (alias Santosh Mukhiya), the protesters burned an effigy of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

During the protest, RJD leaders questioned the Election Commission's functioning and demanded transparency in the process of adding and deleting names from the voter list. Protesters alleged that the names of a large number of voters were being removed under the guise of the Special Intensive Revision, potentially undermining the democratic process.

RJD leader Santosh Mukhiya stated that claims are being made regarding the removal of 65 lakh voters in Bihar and 60 lakh in West Bengal under this revision drive. He demanded a review of the election process to ensure fairness if irregularities had occurred, and called for legal action against those responsible.

He emphasized that no eligible citizen's name should be deleted from the voter list, nor should any ineligible person's name remain. He asserted that the entire process of adding and removing names must be transparent, as the voter is paramount in a democracy.

RJD leaders and workers, including Manager Yadav, Ashwani Mukhiya, Kariman Yadav, Lorik Yadav, Ganesh Yadav, Virendra Mukhiya, Sunil Yadav, Rajesh Singh, Dharmendra Singh, Ravindra, Krishna Singh, Islam Ansari, Ajay Singh, Subhash, and Sajuruddin, participated in the protest.
