POLICE ARRESTED MISCREANT WITH FIREARMS

BUXAR--------------------------The police have achieved a major breakthrough during an ongoing campaign against criminals in the district. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house in Niyajipur village—under the jurisdiction of the Tilak Rai Ke Hata police station—and arrested Kaptan Yadav (alias Vikrama Yadav), a notorious criminal wanted in nine serious cases. Police recovered an illegal country-made pistol, three live cartridges, and one spent shell from his residence.

According to the police, the Superintendent of Police (SP) received confidential information on the night of September 11 that the wanted criminal, Kaptan Yadav, was hiding illegal weapons at his home in Niyajipur. Following this information, a special team was constituted under the leadership of Dumraon SDPO Sameer Kumar Singh. The team surrounded his house in Niyajipur and conducted a planned raid, resulting in his arrest.

The weapons and cartridges discovered during the search of the premises were seized by the police. An FIR has been registered at the Tilak Rai Ke Hata police station regarding the matter. Police state that a total of nine cases—involving charges of robbery, dacoity, theft, and violations of the Arms Act and the Prohibition Act—are registered against the arrested accused. Of these, eight cases are registered at the Simri police station, and one is registered at the Tilak Rai Ke Hata police station. The raiding team included Dumraon SDPO Sameer Kumar Singh, Station House Officers (SHOs) Pooja Kumari (Tilak Rai Ka Hata) and Abhishek Pandey (Ramdas Rai Ka Dera), Sub-Inspector Ravindra Kumar Yadav, and PTC Abhishek Kumar, alongside armed personnel from the DIU Dumraon and the Hata and Dera police stations.
