SASARAM-----------------------A horrifying and shocking incident has emerged from Jogiya village under the Dinara police station area in Bihar's Rohtas district. A 60-year-old laborer, Chandreshwar Chaudhary, was shot dead following a dispute over wages. The accused, an influential man named Ajit Tiwari, fled with the body after shooting him.
Chandreshwar Chaudhary used to work for the accused, Ajit Tiwari, but had quit two years ago; his son had taken over the job. Wages amounting to ₹50,000–₹60,000 were outstanding. Ajit Tiwari became enraged when the son also refused to work for him and started working for someone else. In a fit of rage, he summoned Chandreshwar Chaudhary to his doorstep and allegedly shot him.
Immediately after the incident, furious villagers set the accused's house on fire. Not only was the house set ablaze, but vehicles parked at the scene—including a car, tractor, rotavator, and harvester—were also torched. ?? There are also reports of stone-pelting in the area.
Upon receiving the information, SP Roshan Kumar, Bikramganj SDM Dilip Kumar, and SDPO Sindhu Shekhar Singh, along with police teams from multiple stations, rushed to the scene.
Taking swift action, the police have arrested the prime accused, Ajit Tiwari, from the Ghazipur Kotwali police station area in Uttar Pradesh. A large number of empty liquor bottles were also discovered at the accused's residence during the investigation. The most distressing aspect is that the police have yet to find any trace of Chandreshwar Chaudhary, who sustained a gunshot wound. His wife, Bimla Devi, and sons, Deepak and Prithvi Chaudhary, are present at the scene and are in deep distress. Tension prevails in the village, and the police have deployed a force as a precautionary measure to maintain peace. This incident raises serious questions about the system and the reign of local strongmen! The victim's family deserves justice at the earliest.
