FIRST EVER ONLINE GK COMPETITION

SASARAM-------------------------A General Knowledge competition was organized at the local Middle School, Shivganj, Dehri, on the occasion of Independence Day, continuing an annual tradition. A unique feature this year was that the exam was conducted online for the first time.

The competition was organized under the leadership of Headmaster Mr. Sanjay Kumar. Ms. Ayushi Gautam, a teacher at the school, successfully conducted the event.

The Headmaster stated that a total of 25 questions covering topics such as the national movement, the national flag, and science were asked. Students took the exam using mobile phones.

Some of the key questions asked included: When did the Indian independence movement begin? Who was the hero of the First War of Independence in 1857? Who designed the national flag? And who gave the slogan, "Give me blood, and I will give you freedom"?

This was a novel experience for the school, as the children had never participated in an online exam before. Approximately 30 students arrived at the school with their mobile phones to take part in the competition.

The results were declared immediately.

Boys' Category: First – Kumar Saksham, Second – Akash Kumar, Third – Mangal Lal

Girls' Category: First – Chandni Kumari

The Headmaster announced that all students would be honored with medals and certificates of appreciation during the main Independence Day ceremony. He congratulated teacher Ms. Ayushi Gautam on the success of the event.

The Headmaster remarked that the online exam has fostered both interest in and enthusiasm for technology among the children.
