SASARAM-----------------------------With the aim of raising awareness among the youth about the adverse effects of substance abuse and spreading the message of de-addiction to the masses, 'Mera Yuva Bharat' (MY Bharat), Rohtas, organized an awareness program today (August 8, 2026) at the SP Jain College Auditorium in Sasaram under the "Drug-Free Youth – Developed India" campaign.

The District Magistrate of Rohtas, Mr. Deepak Kumar Mishra, attended the event as the chief guest. He urged the youth to stay away from substance abuse and channel their energy into constructive activities such as education, skill development, sports, employment, social service, and nation-building.

During the program, information was provided regarding the health, mental, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse. Competitions such as folk songs, dance, street plays/mime, painting, speeches, short films/reels, slogan writing, and slam poetry were organized to encourage the creative talent of the youth. A street play focused on de-addiction The adverse effects of substance abuse were effectively highlighted.

The program was led by District Youth Officer Ms. Komal Nigam. On this occasion, the youth pledged to stay away from substance abuse, raise awareness among others, and contribute to building a "Drug-free Youth – Healthy Society – Developed India."
