BUXAR--------------------------To mark the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, the Vishwamitra branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad (South Bihar Province) organized a national group song competition on Saturday at the Maharshi Vishwamitra College campus. Students from 11 schools across the district infused the atmosphere with patriotism through their performances of songs dedicated to the nation. Saraswati Vidya Mandir (Girls' Section), Civil Lines, secured the first position in the competition.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, the offering of floral tributes to the portraits of Bharat Mata and Swami Vivekananda, and a collective rendition of 'Vande Mataram'. The students' performances demonstrated an excellent blend of melody, rhythm, timing, discipline, and a unified spirit. Patriotic songs presented with a foundation in classical music garnered thunderous applause from the audience. Students from MP High School, Project Girls' High School (Itadhi), SP Vidya Mandir School, Ram Janaki Vidya Mandir, Foundation School, DAV Public School, Cambridge Senior Secondary School, Trinity Convent School, Global Wisdom School, Heritage School (Arjunpur), and Saraswati Vidya Mandir (Girls' Wing, Civil Lines) participated in the competition. The panel of judges included Sukriti Mishra, Anurag Mishra, and Shubham Kumar.

Saraswati Vidya Mandir (Girls' Wing, Civil Lines) secured first place, MP High School (Buxar) took second place, and Heritage School (Arjunpur) achieved third place. The winning schools were honored with trophies, medals, and certificates. Students from all participating schools were also awarded participation certificates and medals.

Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including Dr. Mrityunjay Kumar Singh (Provincial President, Bharat Vikas Parishad), Mukesh Kumar (Regional General Secretary), Radhikant Sharma (Provincial Management Coordinator), Rajendra Thakur (RSS Provincial Secretary), K.K. Singh (Principal, Maharshi Vishwamitra College), Niharika Chhavi (Deputy Development Commissioner), Gaurav Pandey (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Kamrun Nisha (Chairperson, Buxar Municipal Council), and Sunita Rai (Block Pramukh, Chausa).

Branch President Varsha Pandey stated that the objective of the National Group Song Competition is to foster patriotism, discipline, moral values, and a sense of pride in Indian culture among children. Such events serve as a medium to connect the new generation with the spirit of nation-building.

District Education Officer (DEO) Indra Kumar Karn also attended the program as a guest. participated. Deputy Development Commissioner Niharika Chhavi, District Education Officer Indra Kumar Karn, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Gaurav Pandey guided the students through their addresses. The officials encouraged the children to cultivate not only academic knowledge but also discipline, moral values, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility towards society. Their speeches instilled a sense of enthusiasm among the students.

Branch Secretary Sanjay Rai, Treasurer Manoj Dubey, Prakash Pandey, Vipin Kumar, Meera Singh, Manju Tiwari, Saroj, Akhilesh, Amit, Vikas Kaushik, and Bharat Verma, along with other members and associates, played a significant role in making the event a success. Akhilesh conducted the proceedings. A large number of teachers, students, and parents were present on the occasion.
