POLICE ARRESTED FIVE

BHABHUA------------------------The police are conducting continuous drives across the district to effectively enforce the liquor prohibition law. In a related development, the Karamchat police arrested five individuals for alcohol consumption. Following medical examinations, all the arrested persons were sent to the Bhabua Court in accordance with judicial procedure.

Karamchat Station House Officer (SHO) Pankaj Kumar stated that the police apprehended five individuals from various locations during a campaign against alcohol consumption in the area. Medical tests confirmed alcohol consumption in all cases, and subsequent action was taken against them as per the law.

The arrested individuals include: Dinesh Ram (son of Aklu Ram, Village Kinnar Chola, PS Bhagwanpur, District Kaimur-Bhabua); Gunjan Kumar (son of Ajay Ram, Village Singhi Sud, PS Bhagwanpur, District Kaimur); Vimlesh Kumar (son of Nagina Yadav, Village Pandeypur, PS Karamchat, District Kaimur); Vivek Kumar (son of Ramanand Prasad, Village Shahpur, PS Baburi, District Chandauli); and Chandrashekhar Ram (son of Bhikhari Ram, Village Marhan, PS Saiyadraja, District Chandauli).

SHO Pankaj Kumar confirmed that after undergoing medical examinations and the completion of necessary legal formalities, all five accused were sent to the competent court in Bhabua.

The police noted that a total ban on alcohol is in force in Bihar, and continuous action is being taken regarding cases involving alcohol consumption and illicit liquor. Patrols and inspection drives in the area have been intensified to ensure strict action against violators of the prohibition law.

This action by the Karamchat police has caused panic among those who consume alcohol. The police have made it clear that they will continue to conduct campaigns and take action against anyone violating the alcohol prohibition law.
