ARA---------------------------On July 17, 2026, a peaceful protest was staged by students at Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara. The event was led by youth leader Harsh Raj Mangalam and student unity representative Hariom Kumar, with participation from a large number of students. The primary objective of the protest was to demand a one-time relaxation for students of the 2023–27 session and the correction of errors in the results of the PG Semester 2 (Session 2025–27) examinations.

The students stated that they were not clearly informed about this new rule either at the time of admission or during their course of study. Therefore, a special one-time relaxation should be granted in the interest of the 2023–27 batch students. Furthermore, they demanded that answer sheets be evaluated impartially and marks awarded based on actual performance, rather than releasing results based on average marking.

During the protest, a delegation met the University Vice-Chancellor and submitted a memorandum outlining their demands. The Vice-Chancellor assured them that the students' demands and suggestions would be conveyed to the Raj Bhavan. He also promised that issues falling within the university's jurisdiction would be resolved at the university level. Additionally, he assured that the admission process across all colleges would continue until a final decision regarding this matter is reached.

The delegation included Harsh Raj Mangalam, Hariom Kumar, Nehal Kumar, Varun Gupta, Rishabh Kumar, Saksham Kumar, Prateek Kumar, Anshu Kumar, Saurabh Kumar, Shalini Kumari, Pooja Kumari, and Aniket Kumar, along with thousands of other students.
