Dalit Woman Alleges Land Grab, Seeks Justice in Badaun

RNI : Badaun: A Dalit woman from Bilsi tehsil has accused local strongmen of illegally occupying her ancestral land and sought action from the District Magistrate.

Rajbeti, a resident of Tigora Isapur village, alleged that a lekhpal and his brother demanded Rs 4 lakh for mutation of inheritance records and used casteist remarks after she refused to pay.

She said the inheritance was later registered with the help of Revenue Inspector Pradeep Saxena. However, she alleged that some accused persons later encroached upon the land and are now trying to falsely implicate the revenue inspector while threatening to get him suspended.

The woman has demanded removal of encroachment and strict legal action against the accused.
