ARA---------------------------The body of a young woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan on Sunday morning at a short-stay home located on KG Road, within the jurisdiction of the Nawada police station. The incident caused a stir in the surrounding area. Upon receiving the information, the local police arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation. Speculation suggests that the young woman may have committed suicide due to a romantic affair. According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Rajnandini Kumari (18), daughter of Sanjay Kahar, a resident of Amrai Nawada village under the Bihiya police station area.

The deceased's father, Sanjay Kahar, stated that a year ago, his daughter had eloped with a boy from their village, prompting him to file an FIR against the boy at the Bihiya police station. At that time, the police had recovered the couple from the Town police station area, but she refused to return home. Consequently, following a court order, she had been residing in the short-stay home for nearly a year, while the accused boy was sent to judicial custody. On Sunday morning, the family received news of her death. Upon arriving at the short-stay home on KG Road, they found her body hanging from the fan.

The police took possession of the body under the supervision of a magistrate and sent it to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Due to the death occurring while in custody, the body was subsequently referred to Patna for the autopsy. Meanwhile, the deceased's father, Sanjay Kahar, has categorically denied the theory of suicide, expressing suspicion that she was murdered.

The deceased was the second of three siblings (two sisters and one brother). Her family includes her mother, Julie Devi, an elder sister, Munni Devi, and a brother, Aman Kumar. The incident has left the family devastated; her mother, Julie Devi, and other family members are inconsolable.
