BUXAR----------------------A wave of joy swept through devotees in Buxar after the Bihar government cabinet approved a proposal to separate the Lord Vaman Temple—located within the Central Jail premises—from the prison complex. Upon learning of the decision, a large number of devotees gathered at the Lord Vaman Temple; rituals were performed, lamps were lit to celebrate, and *prasad* (sanctified food offering) was distributed.
The event was presided over by Rakesh Kumar Rai (Kallu Rai), President of the Vaman Global Foundation. On this occasion, Foundation Secretary Sikandar Singh, along with Prem Mishra (Bhai Ji), Avinash Rai, Rahul Rai, Rakesh Singh, Sagar Singh, Mukesh Ram, Mukesh Singh, and other members, collectively lit a lamp to offer their reverence to Lord Vaman and distributed *Prasad* among the devotees.
Devotees remarked that this decision honors long-standing public sentiment and religious faith. Separating the temple from the jail premises will now allow devotees to offer prayers without hindrance and pave the way for the temple's proper development.
It is noteworthy that 29 proposals were approved during a Bihar Cabinet meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. These included a significant proposal to develop the Lord Vaman Temple—located within the Buxar Central Jail complex—and to ensure easy access for devotees. Under this decision, a boundary wall and necessary security arrangements will be established while securing the land associated with the temple complex; this will facilitate the temple's systematic development and the provision of better amenities for devotees in the future. This decision is being viewed as a significant step towards the development of the Lord Vaman Temple, a major center of faith and religion in Buxar.
