ROHTAS RESOUNDS WITH CHANTS OF ‘YA HUSSAIN’
On Friday, the occasion of the 10th of Muharram (Ashura), the entire Rohtas district echoed with chants of "Ya Hussain... Ya Hussain." Impressive Tazia processions were taken out across various blocks and rural areas of the district, including Sasaram, Dehri, Nasriganj, Rajpur, Kachhwan, Tilouthu, Chenari, Kargahar, Dinara, and Bikramganj. Everywhere, unique examples of devotion, discipline, and the composite culture of the region (Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb) were witnessed.

SASARAM----------------------------On Friday, the occasion of the 10th of Muharram (Ashura), the entire Rohtas district echoed with chants of "Ya Hussain... Ya Hussain." Impressive Tazia processions were taken out across various blocks and rural areas of the district, including Sasaram, Dehri, Nasriganj, Rajpur, Kachhwan, Tilouthu, Chenari, Kargahar, Dinara, and Bikramganj. Everywhere, unique examples of devotion, discipline, and the composite culture of the region (Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb) were witnessed.
Devotees participating in the processions mourned in memory of Imam Hussain and the martyrs of Karbala. At several locations, youths gave spectacular demonstrations of traditional martial arts involving *lathis* (batons), swords, and other traditional weaponry. Large crowds gathered along the roadside to witness these astonishing feats. The atmosphere remained entirely peaceful and harmonious throughout the event. The district administration had been fully alert regarding Muharram; police forces, magistrates, and officials were deployed at sensitive locations. All processions were monitored, and no untoward incidents were reported anywhere. Thanks to the administration's vigilance and the cooperation of local Muharram committees, all processions concluded peacefully. Large numbers of people visited various *Imambaras* and *Akhadas* across the district to pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala. During the event, people from all communities demonstrated mutual brotherhood and social harmony, further strengthening the district's shared culture. This Muharram festival concluded peacefully in Rohtas, conveying a message of social unity and communal harmony alongside religious devotion.
