MAN DIED AFTER SNAKEBITE

BUXAR------------------------A tragic incident occurred on Thursday within the jurisdiction of the local police station, claiming the life of a man due to a snakebite. The deceased has been identified as Sushil Kumar Gupta. It is reported that Sushil had gone to a garden when, suddenly, a venomous snake bit him. Following the incident, people present nearby immediately informed his family members.

Without delay, the family rushed him to the Nawanagar Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment. However, by the time they reached the hospital, his condition had become extremely critical. Upon examination, the doctors declared him dead.

According to villagers, the incident occurred so suddenly that there was no opportunity to react or recover. Meanwhile, the police arrived at the scene immediately upon receiving the information, took custody of the body, and sent it to Buxar for a post-mortem examination. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the village, and the family members are inconsolable.

Experts note that in cases of snakebite, the initial period is extremely critical; however, in rural areas, victims often fail to receive timely and appropriate medical treatment, which can lead to fatal outcomes. They advised that the bitten limb should be moved as little as possible and kept slightly below the level of the heart. Furthermore, one should strictly avoid tying a tight ligature around the bitten area. The victim should be taken to the nearest hospital for treatment immediately.
