ARA-------------------------A 'light' Rail Overbridge (ROB) will soon be constructed between Karisath and Jagjivan Halt, near Ara Junction under the Danapur Railway Division.
This project is expected to bring significant relief to local residents and road commuters in the area. The proposed light ROB will be approximately eight feet wide.
Its construction will largely alleviate the difficulties associated with crossing the railway tracks. Details regarding this project emerged during the visit of Chhatrasal Singh, General Manager of the East Central Railway (Hajipur Zone), to Ara Junction on Monday.
The General Manager had arrived to inspect and inaugurate various railway projects at Ara Junction. During his visit, he also consulted officials on ways to improve passenger amenities and connectivity within the railway zone.
Residents of nearby villages currently face commuting challenges due to the railway line running between Karisath and Jagjivan Halt.
There has long been a need for a safe crossing point for people living on both sides of the railway line. The construction of the light ROB is expected to facilitate movement for pedestrians and small vehicles alike.
According to railway officials, the proposed ROB will be smaller in scale compared to standard, large ROBs. Its design will take into account local requirements and the available space.
This light ROB, with a width of approximately eight feet, will provide a safe passage for people to cross the railway tracks.
Convenience for Local Commuters
It is worth noting that ongoing efforts are being made to develop passenger amenities and infrastructure at Ara Junction and along the surrounding railway sections.
In this context, the plan for a light ROB between Karisath and Jagjivan Halt is viewed as a significant step for the local community.
Local villagers believe that the construction of the ROB will reduce incidents of unauthorized track crossing and ensure safer commuting. However, detailed information regarding when construction work will begin and the timeline for its completion will be released by the Railways later.
