RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

BUXAR----------------------------During a special campaign focused on passenger safety and crime control at Buxar Railway Station, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) acted swiftly to apprehend a youth found in possession of a stolen mobile phone and an imitation metal chain. Following necessary procedures, the accused was handed over to the GRP (Government Railway Police) station in Buxar, along with the recovered items and relevant documentation, for further legal action.

According to reports, a special surveillance operation was being conducted on the station premises on Thursday under the guidance of Kundan Singh, the Inspector-in-Charge of RPF Buxar. During this operation, a female passenger named Neeta Devi—a resident of Karpuri Padri (under the Industrial Police Station area, Buxar)—was boarding the Kota-Patna Express (Train No. 13240) to travel to Patna.

Taking advantage of the crowd, an individual stole a blue Redmi mobile phone and a yellow-colored imitation metal chain from her and attempted to flee. RPF Sub-Inspector Vijendra Muwal, Assistant Sub-Inspector Umesh Kumar Rai, and Constables Shyam Narayan Singh Yadav and Santosh Kumar, who were present at the scene, acted promptly and apprehended the accused.

Upon interrogation, the arrested youth identified himself as Krishna Mali (24), son of Chatro Mali, a resident of Nyayipur (under Mufassil Police Station, Buxar district). The stolen Redmi mobile phone and the yellow-colored imitation metal chain were recovered from his possession. After completing the formalities, the accused, Krishna Mali, was handed over to the Buxar GRP police station along with the recovered items and relevant documents for further legal action.

RPF Inspector-in-Charge Kundan Kumar stated that the campaign to ensure passenger safety, effectively curb incidents of theft and snatching, and prevent criminal activities within railway premises would continue. The RPF team will remain active to ensure passenger safety while keeping a close watch on suspicious individuals at the station and on trains.

The Buxar RPF has appealed to passengers to remain vigilant regarding the safety of their mobile phones, wallets, and other valuables during their journey and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the Railway Protection Force or relevant railway personnel.
