SAWAN FESTIVAL AT VKSU
A 'Sawan Festival' was organized on Friday at the Postgraduate Department of Psychology, Veer Kunwar Singh University. The event was presided over by the Head of the Department, Prof. Yashwant Kumar. Female students of the department enthusiastically participated in various cultural activities, including the worship of Lord Shiva, musical performances, and duets. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Vachaspati Dubey and Dr. Kumari.

ARA-------------------------------A 'Sawan Festival' was organized on Friday at the Postgraduate Department of Psychology, Veer Kunwar Singh University. The event was presided over by the Head of the Department, Prof. Yashwant Kumar. Female students of the department enthusiastically participated in various cultural activities, including the worship of Lord Shiva, musical performances, and duets. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Vachaspati Dubey and Dr. Kumari.
The students brought the traditional culture and music of the Sawan season to life through their captivating performances. The event aimed to foster cultural awareness, creativity, self-confidence, and a spirit of collective participation among the students. Professor Sangeeta Sinha captivated the audience with a magnificent rendition of a *Shiv Vandana* (prayer to Lord Shiva).
Research scholars Abhishek Tiwari, Santosh Kumar, and Abhas Kumar also attended the event. In the speech competition, Shruti Suman secured first place, Julie Kumari second, and Amit Kumar third; meanwhile, in the essay competition, Shruti Suman took first place, Anurag Kumar second, and Shweta Gupta third.
Ibarat Rahman, Priyanshi, Manisha, Shweta Gupta, Pragati Shree, Rukhsana Khatoon, Tanupriya, Aastha, Shruti Suman, and Kajal were honored for their commendable contributions to the event.
