POLICE ARRESTED ONE MISCREANT

ARA------------------------In a significant operation, the Bhojpur police have arrested Dani Yadav—a resident of Hospital Road, located on the Tiyar-Bihiya road within the jurisdiction of the Bihiya police station—at the Ara Railway Station. According to the police, there are 23 criminal cases registered against Dani Yadav across various police stations in the district, involving charges of extortion, dacoity, murder, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act. He was absconding in two of these cases, while he is reportedly out on bail in the others.

The police received information that Dani Yadav had arrived in Ara and was active in the vicinity of the railway station. This information was relayed to the Bhojpur Superintendent of Police (SP), who ordered the immediate formation of a special team. The team comprised members of the Bhojpur District Intelligence Unit (DIU), Bihiya Station House Officer (SHO) Bipin Bihari, Additional SHO Ramkumar, and personnel from the Special Task Force (STF).

Employing technical and scientific investigative methods, the police team cordoned off the area. After a concerted effort, they successfully apprehended Dani Yadav at the Ara Railway Station.

During a press conference on Tuesday, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) confirmed the arrest, stating that Dani Yadav was absconding in connection with cases registered at the Bihiya police station (Case Nos. 303/26 and 308/26). As noted, he faces a total of 23 criminal charges in the district, including extortion, dacoity, murder, robbery, and Arms Act violations.

The SDPO mentioned that the police had been receiving persistent complaints regarding extortion by Dani Yadav. Authorities are currently gathering evidence related to his involvement in organized crime, with the objective of ensuring that the evidence presented makes it difficult for him to secure bail.

Following his arrest, the police are interrogating Dani Yadav to ascertain the reasons for his presence at the Ara Railway Station and to uncover his future plans or intended activities. The police are also investigating whether he has any links to members of an organized gang.

The arrest of Dani Yadav is a major success for the Bihiya police station and the Bhojpur district police force. This action will help in controlling crime in Bihiya and the surrounding areas. The police are currently in the process of remanding the accused to judicial custody.
