ARA---------------------------The body of a newlywed woman was found hanging from a ceiling hook in Sarangpur village, located within the jurisdiction of the Bahoranpur police station. The incident has caused a stir throughout the village and the surrounding area. Upon receiving the information, the local police arrived at the scene and have begun an investigation. According to reports, the deceased, 20-year-old Beauty Devi, was the wife of Rahul Thakur, a resident of Sarangpur village.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s father, Guddu Thakur—a resident of Rampur village under the Garhani police station area—stated that he had married his daughter, Beauty Devi, on February 24 of this year to Rahul Thakur, son of Abhinath Thakur, a resident of Sarangpur village. Her husband, Rahul Thakur, works in Hyderabad alongside the father’s own son.
He mentioned that he had last spoken to his daughter over the phone at 8:00 PM on Tuesday night. She reportedly did not interact with her father-in-law or other members of her in-laws' household. On Wednesday morning, while he was in Vikram Pali (Patna), he received a call from his niece informing him that Beauty Devi had died.
Upon receiving the news, the family first went to the Bahoranpur police station, then proceeded to her in-laws' home, where they found her body lying on the floor. The police took custody of the body and sent it to the Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Furthermore, the deceased’s father, Guddu Thakur, has accused her father-in-law, brother-in-law, and others of killing his daughter, though he did not specify a motive.
In this regard, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bahoranpur stated that no formal complaint has yet been filed by the family of the deceased; further action will be taken once a complaint is submitted. It is reported that the deceased was the fifth of six children—having four sisters and two brothers. Her surviving family includes her mother, Anju Devi, three sisters, and two brothers. The incident has left the family in a state of deep shock and grief.
