ARA--------------------------In preparation for Dussehra and other upcoming festivals, the Bhojpur Police have initiated measures to keep a close watch on criminals. Acting on the instructions of SP Awadhesh Dixit, a list of 481 criminals released on bail has been compiled across all police station areas in the district, and their physical verification is currently being conducted. SP Awadhesh Dixit shared this information via a press release.
He stated that a special police campaign is underway to ensure that the upcoming festivals are celebrated in a peaceful, safe, and harmonious atmosphere. As part of this campaign, authorities are conducting continuous physical verification of criminals released on bail who were previously involved in serious offenses such as murder, Arms Act violations, dacoity, and robbery.
The verification process covers a total of 481 such criminals across the Sadar-1, Sadar-2, Piro, and Jagdishpur subdivisions. The breakdown includes 164 criminals in Sadar-1, 108 in Sadar-2, 139 in Piro, and 70 in the Jagdishpur subdivision.
He added that the police are keeping a close watch on these individuals. Personnel from the respective police stations are physically verifying their current whereabouts, activities, and presence to preemptively thwart any attempts by anti-social elements to disrupt peace during the festive season.
He urged the public to immediately report any suspicious persons or objects observed during the festivals to the police personnel deployed for security or by calling the 'Dial 112' service. Additionally, a police helpline number—9031826677—has been issued for public assistance.
