NEW SP ASSUMES CHARGE

ARA-------------------------IPS officer Awadhesh Dixit assumed office as the district's new Superintendent of Police (SP) on Thursday. A 2019-batch IPS officer, Dixit will serve as the 108th Superintendent of Police for Bhojpur. Upon arriving at the SP office to take charge, he was accorded a Guard of Honour.

After assuming office, the newly appointed SP conducted a detailed inspection of the police headquarters. He closely examined the functioning of various departments, including the Crime Branch, Hindi Section, and Foreigner Section. He also inspected the police control room and held a meeting with relevant officials, issuing clear directives to ensure the swift, smooth, and effective conduct of administrative operations.

Speaking to the media, SP Awadhesh Dixit outlined his action plan. He stated that maintaining law and order and establishing complete control over crime in Bhojpur district would be his top priorities. Additionally, he emphasized fostering better coordination and friendly relations between the police and the general public to further strengthen public trust in the police force. It is worth noting that Avadhesh Dixit’s previous tenure as SP (Personnel-1) at the Bihar Police Headquarters was highly commendable. Prior to that, he served effectively as the Superintendent of Police in districts like Gopalganj and Lakhisarai, where significant improvements in law and order were observed under his leadership. Notably, his wife, Kamya Mishra, is also a distinguished IPS officer of the 2019 batch.
