BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED A DRUG PEDDLER

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur Police have arrested Anand Kumar Rai, an accused in a heroin case who had been absconding for a long time. He was apprehended based on his tower location while undergoing treatment at a private clinic following a road accident.

After sustaining injuries in a road accident, he was undergoing treatment at a private clinic when police arrested him near Mopti Mela Mod, tracking him down via his tower location.

Following the arrest, the accused was taken to the Piro Community Health Center for treatment; after receiving care, he was brought into police custody at the Sikrahata Police Station.

The arrested accused is Anand Kumar Rai, son of Satyendra Rai, a resident of Bagar. According to the police, officers had stopped two individuals riding an Apache motorcycle during a vehicle check near the Moapkhurd poultry farm in the Sikrahata police station area.

During the search, 45 grams of heroin, two weighing scales, and two mobile phones were recovered from a black bag found on the motorcycle. It was during this incident that Anand Kumar managed to give the police the slip and escape. Accused was constantly changing hideouts

An FIR was registered at Sikrahata Police Station against Anand Kumar and an unidentified person under the NDPS Act. Since then, the police had been continuously raiding suspected locations to arrest him.

However, the accused would usually change his location before the police could arrive, successfully evading arrest. But this time, he could not escape.

Anand Kumar was injured in a road accident while speeding near the Moapkhurd poultry farm. After sustaining injuries, he went to a private clinic at Mopti Mela Turn for treatment.

The police got wind of this. Based on mobile surveillance, the police traced his location. Sub-Inspector Viveka Kumar, leading a police team, took action and arrested him around 7:30 PM.
