BUXAR------------------------------A sensation gripped the Shivpuri neighborhood under the Town Police Station area on Saturday morning when the body of a young man was discovered near an enclosure close to the 'Gauraiya Baba' shrine in Ward No. 35. A crowd gathered in the area upon hearing the news. Locals informed the Town Police, who arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Om Pandey, son of Kamlesh Pandey, a resident of Chausi village under the Narayanpur Police Station area of ​​Bhojpur district.

According to available information, Om Pandey had come to Buxar on Friday for some college-related work. It is reported that late in the evening, he arrived at the home of a young woman in Shivpuri accompanied by some friends. According to the friends, they stopped a short distance away from the house, while Om went inside alone. Some time later, his body was found lying a short distance from the house under suspicious circumstances.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Sadar DSP Gaurav Pandey, Town SHO Manoj Kumar, and other police officials arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough inspection. The police collected evidence from the site and questioned local residents.

The police have detained a young woman from the home of Guddu Lal—who is said to be an acquaintance of the deceased—along with another young woman for questioning. Both are being interrogated regarding the incident.

Currently, the police are investigating every aspect of the case. Officials stated that further action would be taken based on the post-mortem report, forensic evidence, and the interrogation. The police clarified that the actual cause of the youth's death could only be revealed once the investigation is complete.
