ARA-------------------------Acting on a tip-off, the Town Police Station conducted a raid and arrested two real-life brothers suspected of drug trafficking, seizing 70.08 grams of heroin in the process. The police apprehended the duo in the Gausganj locality, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Town Police Station. The arrested traffickers have been identified as Shyam Nandan Paswan and Dhananjay Paswan—sons of Raviranjan Paswan—all residents of the Gausganj locality within the Town Police Station area. Sadar SDPO-I (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) Rajkumar Sah disclosed this information during a press conference.

During the press conference, he stated that the Town Police Station had received intelligence indicating that two individuals in the Gausganj locality were selling a narcotic substance resembling heroin. To verify this information, a team led by Town Police Station SHO (Station House Officer) Devraj Rai was constituted; the team subsequently raided Shyam Nandan Paswan's residence in Gausganj and arrested both individuals. During the search, 70.08 grams of the heroin-like narcotic substance were recovered from their home.

He further noted that the manner in which the heroin-like substance and small packets (*puriyas*) were recovered from their residence during the raid suggests that they were engaged in selling the drugs to various individuals. Rajkumar Sah added that during interrogation, the arrested individuals failed to provide any clear information regarding how long they had been involved in this illicit trade or the source from which they procured the narcotic substance. The police are currently investigating their connections and scrutinizing their past criminal records. Following these developments, the police at the Town Police Station registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the two arrested individuals under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
