PATNA---------------------------In a village within the Barh subdivision of Patna, a dispute over taking selfies and photographs during a wedding ceremony escalated to such an extent that the atmosphere became completely tense. The conflict grew so severe that the bride and groom had to be hidden in a safe location, and the police were compelled to rush to the scene to bring the situation under control.
The incident took place at the Umanath Temple, located within the jurisdiction of the Barh police station, where a wedding ceremony was being held last night. The *Varmala* (garland exchange) ritual had concluded, and the *Saat Phere* (seven vows) were about to commence shortly. At this juncture, guests present at the venue began taking photos and selfies using their mobile phones, triggering a verbal altercation between members of both the bride's and groom's families.
In no time, the dispute escalated into a physical brawl between the two sides. Several women from both the bride's and groom's families sustained injuries during the scuffle. Amidst the chaos, the bride and groom had to be whisked away from the crowd and taken to a safe haven.
According to reports, some individuals were incessantly taking photographs, prompting requests that the rituals be allowed to conclude first, with photos to be taken later. This specific issue fueled the dispute, leading to a physical clash between the two parties. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. The police intervened to pacify and counsel all parties involved. Currently, the situation remains calm, and authorities are keeping a close watch on the matter.
